About Cincha Travel

Cincha Travel Review

Cincha Travel is a BIPOC-owned brand that makes travel-carrying accessories, most notably their famed travel belt.

The items in Cincha Travel’s catalog include travel belts, luggage belts, cinch belts, and suitcase straps. They are all designed at the company’s base in Oakland, California with the simple goal of making the hard parts of travel a thing of the past.

These hard parts include fumbling around with coins, passports, visas, and other sensitive materials that you often want to be secured yet within arms reach.

Cincha Travel also donates 100 Airmiles per each item sold to Miles4Migrants, an organization that helps migrant families reconnect with one another. As such, part of the funds Cincha Travel generates goes towards aiding those who have been displaced due to war, disaster, and other means outside of their control.

In this Cincha Travel review, I’ll go over some of their bestsellers, customer feedback, promotions, and more. First, let’s start off with some pros and cons.

5 Cincha Travel Bestsellers

Let’s take a look at some of the brand’s products, like the following Cincha Travel belt review, their suitcase strap, and a backpack luggage strap.

Cincha Travel – Travel Belt

Cincha Travel – Travel Belt

The Cincha Travel – Travel Belt’s purpose is simple; to make travel easier. This elastic/vegan leather belt snaps your carry-on to your luggage so that you can have a free hand to deal with your passports and other documents.

Plus, it looks much cooler than any travel accessory has the right to. You can pick it up in a range of colors for $56.

What customers are saying: I absolutely LOVE this strap! It’s so handy to be able to put it on the handle first, and then just give my purse a hug to keep it in place. Especially when I usually have very short layovers and need to move quickly without worrying about my bag falling over.”

Cincha Travel – Travel Belt Bag

The next item in this Cincha Travel review is this chic travel bag. It builds off of the travel belt I just spoke about, turning it into a full bag that’s made from upcycled nylon.

The Cincha Travel – Travel Belt Bag is just as solid of a fashion accessory as it is a handy travel tool and you can grab it in one of five colors for $75.

Cincha Travel – Mini Travel Belt

As you can see, the Cincha Travel – Mini Travel Belt is a smaller version of the brand’s most popular item. It weighs a hair more than 3.8 ounces and is adjustable to 38”, making it perfect for smaller excursions.

It comes in at a cool $35

What customers are saying: LOVED having my Cinchatravel strap! Not having to balance my backpack on my suitcase through the airport and parking was amazing! Best purchase!

Cincha Travel – Stowaway Pocket

The Cincha Travel – Stowaway Pocket makes for a handy carry-on satchel that can store all your precious items in place within its magnetic flap opening.

Plus, it boasts a nylon interior and exterior and a delightful quilted stitch pattern. You can pick up the Cincha Travel – Stowaway Pocket for $16.

What customers are saying:This is the perfect companion for the belt. I don’t have to worry about the belt getting tangled with the other items in my tote bag. It’s well made too.

Cincha Travel Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Cincha Travel Review

Here are the customer scores for some of the items featured in this Cincha Travel review. These numbers come from the Cincha Travel website:

  • Cincha Travel – Travel Belt: 5/5 stars based on more than 630 pieces of customer feedback
  • Cincha Travel – Stowaway Pocket: 5/5 stars based on more than 20 pieces of customer feedback
  • Cincha Travel – Mini Travel Belt: 5/5 stars based on more than 15 pieces of customer feedback

In addition to these numbers, I looked at where else customers gave Cincha Travel reviews. Though there weren’t too many other websites with scores (likely due to the fact that the company is so young), I did find a pair of aggregate review numbers on Amazon and Etsy:

  • Etsy: 4.8/5 stars based on more than 275 pieces of customer feedback
  • Amazon: 4.5/5 stars based on 107 pieces of customer feedback on the Cincha Travel Belt for Luggage

The majority of Cincha Travel reviews praised the products for being functional and fashionable. Customers were surprised by them on both fronts, saying that the straps worked better than they predicted and that they looked great.

One buyer wrote, “This cute little suitcase belt has made travel so much easier! Love it! Seller was awesome – super fast responses. Thank you!

Another user left a Cincha Travel review on the brand’s Facebook page. They said, “Game changer for me.  I struggle with bags. The high quality steel construction on the clasp is amazing.  I was initially skeptical on price but truly high quality materials.  Great buy!

Inside that testimonial was one critique that I read in a few other reviews. The price was mentioned by more than a few people. Though not many said that it was outrageous, thankfully, there were a couple that were surprised by how expensive some Cincha Travel products were.

Luckily, those remarks weren’t enough to dissuade people from writing positive Cincha Travel reviews like this one:

Love the strap. Used it on a recent trip and it came in handy! I used it to keep a backpack on top of my roller bag. like that it is simple, streamlined, has a bit of elastic on the back to fit over the handle of my roller bag, and that I was able to get my initial monogrammed onto it. I will use it for all future trips!

Is Cincha Travel Legit?

Cincha Travel Review

The only critique I have – and it’s not even much of a critique – is that the company’s products are made in China. They dance around this by saying that all their bags are designed in California, which is technically true, but it gives off the impression that they’re made there as well.

Besides that, I’m happy to report that Cincha Travel is legit.

Is Cincha Travel Worth It?

Cincha Travel Review

Not to brag, but I’ve done more than my fair share of traveling, and I would’ve loved to have some of the items I featured in this Cincha Travel review by my side while I was going through customs. They’re well-designed, accessible, and fairly priced

How To Choose The Best Belt Bags

Cincha Travel Review

Here’s a quick list of thoughts and considerations when choosing the best belt bags, like some of the sparkly belts from Cincha Travel:

  • How much do you need the bag to hold?
  • Do you want a discrete belt bag or a fashionable one?
  • Which material would you prefer?
  • What sort of weather are you going to wear it in?
  • How much are you willing to spend?
