Eufy is a brand that sells smart home appliances—ranging from vacuum cleaners to security systems—meant to outfit homes for the convenience of occupants around the world.

The brand has amassed a large following of 44k Facebook followers and 118k Instagram followers. It has also been featured and recommended by many news outlets, including The New York Times, tech radar, USA Today, and Digital Trends.

But is this smart appliance brand truly a ‘smart’ choice? In this Eufy review I’ll find out by looking at its history, products, promotions, customer feedback, and more.

Overview Of Eufy

Eufy Review

Before Eufy, a group of former Google employees had the idea to found Anker Innovations back in 2011, which grew into a major electronics manufacturer with several brands under it. Eufy is one of those brands that came about in 2016, thanks to Bryan Zhou and other co-founders.

From the Anker headquarters and manufacturing locations in Changsha, Hunan, China, Eufy is meant to be the Anker brand that specializes in smart home appliances.

Working from the motto “Smart Home Simplified,” the Eufy team has designed a coherent system of appliances that works together to enhance customers’ homes and make maintenance and security easier.

Here are the highlights of this Eufy review:

Highlights

  • Sells award-winning appliances and security systems that are easy to install and operate
  • Financing options with Klama

Eufy sells several household products, from lighting fixtures to bathroom scales. For this Eufy review, I’ll be focusing on the two major categories the brand is known for: security and vacuums.

Eufy Security

Eufy Video Doorbell Dual3 Review

Tired of not seeing packages when they first arrive? Want something that safely shows you more of a visitor than a peephole can? If so, check out the Eufy Video Doorbell Dual3.

What makes this Eufy doorbell so special? For one, you get a nearperfect view of your front door area. A 2K HD camera on top allows you to see approaching people, with HDR visuals in case they happen to be backlit. On the bottom, you’ll find a 1080p cam that swivels horizontally, with the added feature of tracking packages left on your step and notifying you of them.

These cameras view and record your doorstep, all with the advantage of two sensors—the combination of PIR heat detection and radar motion detection. You can also securely store up to 16GB of footage on local storage if you need to review what goes on outside.

And with the three to sixmonth battery life—all dependant on how often it’s used—you don’t have to worry about hands-on maintenance very often.

This Eufy doorbell camera also comes with twoway audio so you can converse with visitors in relative safety, and if you see something you don’t like, you can connect to an emergency contact with the Eufy security app. Got both hands full? No problem. The doorbell is compatible with voice assistants.

And, if you’re worried about a tricky installation, don’t be. This product comes with an easy howto guide and mounting kit and can integrate with your existing chime. And don’t worry about the electronics out in the elements. These units can function in a temp range of -4°F to 122°F. Plus, they have a water resistance rating of IP65.

If you’re interested, you can get the 2K, battery-powered unit for $260. Or, get either the add-on unit or wired kit for $200.

Eufy SoloCam S40 Review

Need an easy and safe way to monitor your property and keep away unwanted intruders? You can do just that with the SoloCame S40.

Day or night, you can get crisp 2K HD video on anything within the Eufy camera’s 26ft range. The onboard AI is smart enough to only notify you when people approach and constantly learns to provide near-perfect recognition accuracy to minimize false alarms. Plus, you can focus its attention by creating up to two activity zones to focus on.

You can also speak to people from inside with the twoway audio, and if an intruder is being less than cooperative, the built-in 600-lumen spotlight and 90dB siren should help persuade them to skedaddle. You can even control things through Alexa or Google Home if need be.

In addition, you can record and store up to 8GB of footage in the unit’s local storage, which is securely protected by military-grade AES128 encryption.

Installation is easy and can be done just about anywhere you need a Eufy security camera. Maintenance is also a breeze with a solar panel that can power it for a full day on a two-hour charge. And with the built-in battery, it’ll keep going even in low light conditions. It also handles most weather conditions and has a water resistance rating of IP67.

If you think you need one of these cameras, you can order one for just $200.

Eufy Smart Lock Touch & Wi-Fi Review

Need a lock that can close itself for you, open quickly without the need to fumble for your keys, and withstand whatever burglars or mother nature can throw at it? That’s what the Smart Lock Touch & Wi-Fi is here for.

Using a reliable Mabuchi motor to quickly slide the bolt, the Smart Lock secures the door for you whenever it senses the door is closed or if it senses a strong magnetic field. Plus, you can quickly unlock it again through several means—including fingerprint recognition, key code, physical key, or unlock remotely with the Eufy security app.

And, whichever way you want to unlock, your information is safely stowed away behind AES 206 security chip encryption.

Worried about wear and tear? This unit has been tested to work a minimum of 250k times reliably. Plus, the stainless steel plating has an IP65 water resistance rating and can handle over 1,100kg of pressure on the outside, while the inner electronics can function between -22°F to 158°F. Finally, it’s estimated to last up to 60 years.

You can get all this in one unit—including a 10month battery life—in either silver, black, or nickel. Buy one today for just $250.

Eufy Vacuum

Eufy RoboVac G30 Review

Tired of weekly cleaning days taking up time in your busy schedule? If so, the RoboVac G30 has you covered.

Use your phone to set a cleaning schedule or use Alexa or Google Home to have the Eufy RoboVac clean on demand. It’ll use its combination of gyroscopes and sensors to plan and adapt the most efficient path to clean your floors while avoiding big and small obstacles and sudden drops. Its under 3-inch tall frame also lets it get under furniture and other low spots.

It’s so smart it will even return to its dock when it has a low battery, then return to where it left off once it has an 80% charge. Plus, it will adjust suction power in its range of up to 2,000Pa when transferring between hard and carpeted floors to ensure a thorough cleaning. And if you’re worried about the noise, dont be. The RoboVac operates at 55dB.

You can purchase this award-winning vacuum, its charging dock, side brushes, cleaning tool, an additional filter, and a one-year warranty for $319.

Eufy HomeVac H30 Mate Review

Have a mess that’s small and/or located where your average vacuum can’t easily reach? If so, give the HomeVac H30 Mate a try.

This handheld vacuum weighs a mere 1.78lb but still has a powerful suction range of up to 16,000Pa. You can set it to Max mode for tough messes or Eco mode if you want to conserve energy. And when you’re all done, just plug it back into its charging dock that can be plugged in anywhere.

Is one of your pets shedding? This HomeVac model comes with a motorized pet brush. And for grime stuck in crevices, there’s also a 2in1 tool to deal with it.

This handy handheld vacuum comes in black or white for $180.

Eufy HomeVac S11 Infinity Review

Have a big mess on your hands? Got dust in hard-to-reach places? Make cleanup a breeze with the HomeVac S11 Infinity.

This lightweight Eufy vacuum, along with its five accompanying attachments that can clean on virtually any surface, makes the perfect multitool for cleaning up high, down low, and everywhere in between. Some attachments even sport LED lights for cleaning in those dark corners of your home.

Mobility is further enhanced thanks to the wireless design that comes with two interchangeable batteries, both capable of delivering a 40-minute run time on low suction, 25 minutes on mid-mode, and eight high-powered minutes on max-mode and the full 120AWs of suction.

The vacuum chamber itself is well equipped with five layers of filtering and a dustbin capacity of 0.65L. And, when you’re all done, the dustbin detaches for easy contents disposal while the filters can be easily dismantled and washed. And, once put back together, the HomeVac conveniently sits on its wall mount.

You can buy this product, in your choice of white or black, with a twoyear warranty for $300.

Who Is Eufy For?

Eufy Review

Since Eufy is all about convenience, automation, simplicity, and ease of use, it may appeal to several demographics. For instance, people whose busy jobs keep them from maintaining a watchful eye on their home, those worried about a burglary that want some peace of mind, and seniors who need simple solutions to do manual work and keep safe.
