The brand has been raved about in Forbes, Variety, The New York Times, NBC, Mashable, Southern Living, Food & Wine Magazine, MSN, CNET, Business Insider… would you like us to keep going? Because this could take a while.

Nexgrill is no slouch in the social media department either, with 18K grill-loving followers on Facebook and another 18K on Instagram. But is this really the ’cue for U? Never fear, our Nexgrill review will serve up all the info you need about the brand, its bestselling products, customer reviews, and more to help you decide.

Overview of Nexgrill

Nexgrill Review

Nexgrill was founded by Sherman Lin in 1993. Its continuing mission: to provide grill enthusiasts (grillthusiasts?) everywhere with high-quality, professional-grade grilling equipment. As the brand isn’t one to overshare, there isn’t really much more that this Nexgrill review could find out about its background.

But one thing we know for sure: this brand takes grilling seriously. Just check out this little pearl of wisdom from the brand website:

“On its own, a grill is no more than fabricated metal, but when you add the human element, a grill becomes so much more. It becomes your creative outlet, your culinary teacher, and your window into food culture.”

Wow. Don’t get us all teary-eyed over a kitchen appliance, Nexgrill.

Anyway, we can tell you that the brand has its headquarters in Chino, California; that it ships its grills and grill accessories worldwide; and that it’s products can be found in retailers like The Home Depot, Costco, and more.

Now that our Nexgrill review has covered the basics, let’s take a look at the pros and cons of this brand,

Pros

  • Positive reviews of product quality: easy to use and clean, powerful, plenty of cooking space
  • Competitive price
  • Ships internationally

Cons

  • Restocking fee of 15% on returns
  • Some negative reviews about customer service and product breakage/rusting

Next up, let’s get familiar with the products themselves. Get ready for a cornucopia of griddles and covers!

A grill of beauty is a joy forever, and the 5-Burner Propane Gas Grill in gleaming stainless steel fits that description to a T. And while “forever” might be pushing it even for a high-quality machine such as this, Nexgrill does at least provide a 5-year warrant on the five stainless steel burners, so that’s a start!

Pumping out 67,000 BTUs, this Nexgrill 5 burner gas grill has nearly 639 square inches of cooking surface and measures 52″ l x 25″ w x 46.75″ h. You can make it yours for only $230.

Nexgrill Evolution Infrared Plus 5-Burner Propane Gas Grill Review

The future of grilling is now. The Evolution Infrared Plus 5-Burner Propane Gas Grill lets you cook with either direct heat for hard searing or with infrared heat plates for a slower, simmering cook. Did you ever think that any of us would live long enough to see this glorious day?

The five stainless steel burners combine to produce a total of 57,000 BTUs over the nearly 670 square-inch cooking surface, while the 12,000 BTU side burner lets you keep each batch warm as you keep moving through the grilling production line. The Nexgrill Evolution is all yours for $400, pardner.

Nexgrill Deluxe 6-Burner Gas Grill Review

Now we’re talking. The Deluxe 6-Burner Gas Grill is the real deal: six stainless burners, an incredible 564 square inches of primary cooking space and 205 square inches of secondary cooking space, 75,000 BTUs, burger-ready porcelain cast iron cooking grates, and a ceramic side burner so you can get pre-cook sears on those juicy steaks.

Sun going down while you’ve got the grill going? No worries: your Nexgrill 6 Burner has LED lighting on the knobs, so you can cook from brightest day to blackest night. Make sure you’ve got ample room in the backyard, though, because this monster measures 59.85″ l x 22.29″ w x 46.45″ h.

If all that sounds delicious to you, then run out and get yourself the Nexgrill Deluxe 6 Burner for $400.

Nexgrill 29 In. Barrel Charcoal Grill with Smoker Review

Not enough room (or cash) for that smoker you’ve been coveting? The 29 In. Barrel Charcoal Grill with Smoker packs a charcoal grill and a small smoking chamber together into a lightweight, mobile, marvelously compact contraption.

The charcoal tray in the grill component is adjustable to allow for greater temperature control, and if you’re just cooking a burger or two, you can use the smoking chamber as a mini-grill in a pinch. Nexgrill Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Nexgrill Review

Now, it’s time for this Nexgrill review to dish on what actual customers are saying about these products. We sampled buyer feedback from the brand website, the Home Depot, and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to get a more complete picture of the brand.

Here’s how the bestsellers spotlighted in the Nexgrill review above fare in the comments sections at nexgrill.com:

  • Deluxe 2-Burner Grill5/5 stars from 6 reviews
  • 4-Burner Gas Grill with Side Burner4.6/5 stars from 5 reviews
  • 4-Burner Propane Gas Grill with Griddle Top5/5 stars from 3 reviews
  • 5-Burner Propane Gas Grill5/5 stars from 2 reviews
  • Evolution Infrared Plus 5-Burner Propane Gas Grill4.4/5 stars from 5 reviews
  • 29 In. Barrel Charcoal Grill with Smoker4.3/5 stars from 3 reviews
  • 51 In. Grill Cover5/5 stars from 4 reviews

Admittedly, these aren’t quite the largest sample sizes out there, but hey, at least people like ’em! Most grills were praised for their useability, sufficient space, “powerful” cook, “convenience,” and portability. Commenting on the 4-Burner Propane Gas Grill with Griddle Top,one customer said:

Bought a month ago to use with my regular gas grill. I find myself always using my nexgrill!!!! No more flareups, easier cleanup, more heat control and the cooking area is huge.”

Another highlight: customers love how the Deluxe 2-Burner Grill cooks evenly,” has shelves that “can easily be lowered,” and is small but mighty enough “for a family of 4.”

As we can expect for pretty much everything, there are a few negative reviews. Some dissatisfied buyers weren’t pleased with the quality of the grills, saying that parts broke sooner than they should have. Another customer complained that the casters on the Evolution Infrared Plus 5-Burner Propane Gas Grill are cheap and do not roll very well.”

Since reviews on the brand website are pretty sparse, we ventured out into third-party territory. Over at Home Depot, Nexgrill is doing pretty well. For example, the Deluxe 2-Burner Grill scores 4.6/5 stars from a sizable 778 reviews, with buyers saying it is “easy to assemble, move, and use,” affordable, the “perfect size,” and even “gorgeous” (must be that fire-engine red).

This is a great small grill,” wrote one commenter. I had a three burner before and I went down to a two burner and it’s just fine. Husband says it was easy to assemble, works great, gets real hot real fast. I like it. I’ve only had it for about a month But so far I am very pleased. I think it was a good value for the price, and it’s red!”

The 4-Burner Propane Gas Grill with Griddle Top got a similarly positive reception, with 4.5/5 stars from 77 reviews. People loved it for its versatility, “no rust,” easy cleanup, and “tons of room for cooking.” One customer even said:

This griddle is absolutely amazing! … We have had ours 6 months, and we literally cook everything on it. From pancakes, french toast, omletes for breakfast, to steak and cheese subs, chinese meals, hamburgers or hot dogs for dinner. I don’t even know what my stove looks like, we cook on our griddle so much.

Nexgrill also got a fridge-worthy A+ rating from BBB for its responsiveness to customer complaints on the site, which counts for something.

So to sum up: customers are mostly positive about the brand, raving about the quality, easy cleanup and usage, nice appearance, ideal cooking space, and powerful heat.

Is Nexgrill Worth It?

Nexgrill Review

The consensus is: yes, Nexgrill is worth it! The brand has impressively high-quality grills and grilling accessories that are much more affordable than comparable products from its competitors. Its grills are designed to be easy to use and clean, portable, and they’re stylish on top of it.

The brand even makes replacement parts like the Nexgrill Natural Gas Conversion Kit, which is available through Home Depot, Amazon, and Costco.
