About Northwest Registered Agent

Northwest Registered Agent Review

If it was easy to form a successful business then everyone would do it. The saddest thing about the past two years is seeing how difficult it is to get a successful business off the ground and keep it afloat for more than a few months.

In my neighborhood alone there are new stores and businesses going up every so often, washing away the traces of the renters who used to occupy those same storefronts.

Not to get too sappy, but it’s a little disheartening. It’s almost as if most people don’t know how difficult it is to run a business. Sadly, I think that’s the truth, and I can speak from experience. I have no clue how to run one, but I do know where I could turn to if I wanted to; Northwest Registered Agent.

The family-owned business is a medium-sized American firm that helps clients register their businesses. Their services extend further than that as they also provide in-depth resources to allow clients to take on a more independent role if they want or to ask Northwest Registered Agent for help. All of this is for a flat fee and some extra change for the state.

The company has over 7k likes on Facebook and 7k Twitter followers. Additionally, they’ve helped over 3 million businesses get off the ground.

Those numbers may make you think about starting your own business, or maybe they’ve given you the kick in the pants you need to get the show rolling. Before you dive into anything, you should read through my Northwest Registered Agent review to find out how the service can help you.

You’ll learn about the brand’s vision, what services they provide, how much they cost, who these products are best for, what their clients have to say about them, and more.

After all of that, then you can decide whether you want Northwest Registered Agent LLC to help you make your dream business into a reality.

Overview of Northwest Registered Agent

Northwest Registered Agent Review

Northwest understands the struggles of trying to expand your business. After all, they are a medium-sized business, so they get what it’s like to try and grow. However, they don’t chase after paychecks. They strive to help business owners create the brands of their dreams by giving them guidance or doing the heavy lifting of forming an LLC.

Business owners may be scratching their heads and wondering, “what is an LLC, and why should I care?” Well, dear reader, you should care because LLCs (limited liability companies) can protect your personal assets after you create your own business.

If you already know what an LLC is then you can skip to the highlights section of this Northwest Registered Agent review. If not, then you’re going to learn a bit about business.

If you want to start your own business then you have a couple of options. You can either register your business as a corporation or you can register it as an LLC. There are slight differences between the two but the main draw of the latter is that your personal assets aren’t at stake.

You have to create a separate bank account to form an LLC, meaning that if something bad happens to your company (not saying that it will, but anything can happen these days) your personal finances won’t take the hit.

You’ll still have all your money stowed away for your wedding, your kid’s college education, or when the next Amazon Prime Day rolls around.

Other advantages that come with LLCs are that they’re more flexible when it comes to corporate structuring than regular corporations. You can modify the flow of money, change the line of command, and more with ease. Plus, LLCs are also better for individuals or small businesses.

Let’s return to Northwest Registered Agent since they’re what this review is all about. They’re a family-owned business that connects across the United States. These connections help them register your LLC faster and more efficiently than you likely could by yourself.

They also uphold personal privacy over everything. They will not sell your information to third parties, nor will they speak on your behalf for any occasion.

Speaking of speaking, Northwest Registered Agent pride themselves on their customer service. Their “About Us” page is filled with allegiances and dedications to maintaining top-of-the-line customer support. I’m talking about live phone calls with real people who work for Northwest Registered Agent.

Honestly, it seems like they have the modern landscape of corporation-to-consumer communications more than customers do, and that’s a good thing.

Overall, there’s a lot to like about them. However, I’ve also presented you with plenty of information upfront, so allow me to break it down to the most essential takeaways.

Highlights

  • More than 3 million customers worldwide
  • Free plans available
  • Live customer service correspondents
  • Flat $225 service rate + state fees

I’m going to be going pretty deep in this Northwest Registered Agent review so that you get a comprehensive idea of what the company can do for you. I’ll cover what their free plans include, how they can benefit you as a paid business, and what the advantages of each plan would be.

Northwest Registered Agent LLC Review

While you can also register a corporation or a nonprofit corporation, this Northwest Registered Agent review will primarily focus on how the company helps LLCs. However, you can apply most of what you’ll read later on to corporations if you wish to form your own.

Northwest Registered Agent offers a variety of services. Some of these include filing services like filing annual reports and paperwork. Others are business tools like payment processing, mail orders, and setting up virtual workplaces. They can also help you expand into new states and trademark your business.

Now then, allow me to get deeper into the details of what Northwest Registered Agent offers.

Northwest Registered Agent Services Review

Something else I appreciate about Northwest Registered Agent is that they don’t seem intent on roping you into a deal that you might not need. What I mean is that they’ll happily register your LLC for you if you hire them, but they’re just as eager to help you do it yourself.

They provide you with all the steps and resources you need, for free. They have published free walkthroughs that you can enlist in by signing up or if you need even less guidance, they have a database of all the forms you need to complete to register your LLC.

Some of these forms include:

  1. Articles of organization for each state
  2. Operating agreements
  3. Meeting minutes templates

They also have forms to help you maintain an LLC and deal with a problem you may face in the future as well as amendments down the line.

As for registering your own LLC, here’s how the process breaks down:

  • Nominate your registered agent
  • Give your LLC a name
  • File the LLC state form
  • Get an EIN
  • Write the LLC operating agreement (the paper that details how your LLC will work)
  • Open a business bank account for your LLC
  • Fund your LLC
  • File taxes to your state

I want to point out that all of those steps are laid out in detail on Northwest Registered Agent’s website, which is a testament to their transparency. They want you to be successful. They want their customers to thrive. However, they don’t pressure anyone into signing up for a service that they don’t need. Or, at least, that’s the image they project on their website.

By this point in the Northwest Registered Agent review, you may be wondering why you’d even want to hire them, especially given how much free material they have. I’ll get into that now by explaining the benefits of hiring them as your LLC agent.

How Does Northwest Registered Agent Work

This section of my Northwest Registered Agent review will just focus on how the brand acts as your agent.

There are plenty of benefits that come from hiring a registered agent to file your LLC for you rather than doing it yourself. The majority of them come from the fact that an expert will be handling everything for you, meaning that there’s a much lower risk of mistakes unless you yourself are an expert at filing LLCs.

With their expertise comes a number of insights and connections that the average bear likely won’t have. For starters, they know the workers in the Corporate Division in every state, meaning that they can get your LLC registered quickly. If you were to do it by yourself it’d take much longer unless you already know someone in the department.

Northwest Registered Agent also has a web of connections for local businesses. This makes them a great resource if you need to ask for help with particular issues from another small company who have been in your shoes before.

The brand also handles all digital mail forwarding to you and they give you the opportunity to list their office as your address, meaning that they can give you an added layer of security.

Plus, on your end, the process is just much simpler if you hire Northwest Registered Agent. Remember that list of tasks you had to accomplish that I mentioned earlier in this Northwest Registered Agent review? It seemed a bit daunting and laden with headaches.

Compare those steps to the ones involved if you hire Northwest Registered Agent.

  • Sign up for a plan
  • Receive approval
  • Officially become a business owner

The only effort you need to expend is paying the company, and I’ll cover the details of that in the next section of this Northwest Registered Agent review.

Northwest Registered Agent Cost

Despite all the hurdles you have to jump through to set up an LLC, Northwest Registered Agent’s pricing scheme is straightforward. They charge a base fee of $225 plus the fees your state charges. Of course, these fees vary by state, thus the company can only give a limited preview of the costs.

Here’s an example I drummed up for my hypothetical LLC based out of Ohio. It would cost $324 total, with $100 for the filing service fee, a $99 fee for Ohio’s 7-day filling time, and the $125 fee for Northwest Registered Agent.

If my hypothetical Ohio-based business were a corporation or a nonprofit corporation then it’d still cost $324 to work with Northwest Registered Agent.

Who Is Northwest Registered Agent For?

As I mentioned earlier in this Northwest Registered Agent review, each plan they offer comes with its own advantages. These advantages change depending on what you’re looking for from them.

For starters, if you want somebody to handle all the dirty work of filing papers, signing agreements, and all that gunk, plus you want to hire a registered agent for a year, then Northwest Registered Agent is for you.

However, if you’re a bit more independent and understand how to accomplish all those tasks but enjoy organization, then Northwest Registered Agent’s free resources are perfect for you. The company collected all the information and paperwork you need so that you can handle it yourself without any additional cost.

Northwest Registered Agent Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Seeing as how so much of Northwest Registered Agent’s website is dedicated to giving customers information in an efficient manner, and how much they go on about devoting themselves to fluid communication, I figured I should tell you what real customers have to say about the brand.

Here are some aggregate review scores that I found from a few websites.

  • Google Reviews: 4.7/5 stars based on more than 550 pieces of customer feedback
  • Better Business Bureau: 4.4/5 stars based on more than 75 pieces of customer feedback
  • Yelp: 4/5 stars based on more than 40 pieces of customer feedback
  • Facebook: 3.7/5 stars based on more than 25 pieces of customer feedback
  • Trust Pilot: 3.4/5 stars based on more than 10 pieces of customer feedback

As you can see, the vast majority of Northwest Registered Agent reviews were positive. In fact, they were glowing, with many clients praising the simplicity of the ordeal. They said that it was stress-free too.

Here’s how one client described their experience with Northwest Registered Agent.“Easy Process. I didn’t have too much knowledge on LLC’s, the process was easy and fast, the same week all the process was done with no issues and everything 100% digital without waiting for mail. Also affordable (around $100 than competitors), I recommend it for small businesses.”

Inside that buyer review is a crucial detail I want to expand upon. Northwest Registered Agent was seen as being extremely welcoming to first-time business owners because of how well they broke down the process of forming a new business.

Other customers, such as this next one, complimented the brand on their ability to maintain communications.

Arnold has been amazing to work with. His customer service has been by far the best I have honestly ever seen. He goes out of the way to get things done for me fast and efficiently. He has been able to answer all my questions, get everything set up with me assuring there is no hiccups along the way. He makes sure he creates a relationship with you for the long term and stays on the phone with you until you have everything figured out!

The last Northwest Registered Agent review I want to include repeats many of the same praises as the other reviews – good customer service, cheery staff, straightforward process – while mentioning something that represents the brand’s integrity; at no point do they try to upsell you.

I seriously couldn’t be more thrilled about having found Northwest Registered Agent! The customer support I’ve received has been nothing short of exceptional every single time. The staff are SO incredibly friendly and helpful – they’ve not once tried to convince me to spend more money, and (insert drum roll here) YOU GET AN ACTUAL REAL, LIVE HUMAN BEING the moment your call is answered.”

Is Northwest Registered Agent Legit?

Based on everything I’ve read while conducting my research, I can’t see Northwest Registered Agent as being disingenuous.

Is Northwest Registered Agent Worth It?

Normally I’d say that this brand is only worth it if you don’t want to go through the work of filling your own LLC yourself. However, since they offer so many free resources, I think that Northwest Registered Agent is worth checking out for anyone that’s curious about starting their own business.

Northwest Registered Agent Promotions & Discounts
