Overview of The Last Line

The Last Line Review

Based in Los Angeles, The Last Line was founded by married entrepreneurs Teddy and Shelley Sanders in 2017. Shelley, the brand’s creative director, had spent 20 years working as a lead designer for a number of major jewelry houses, and had seen firsthand how industry markups made the prospect of owning beautifully designed jewelry an impossibility for so many.

With The Last Line, the couple set out to create expertly crafted and contemporary jewelry that would be accessible to everyone. Its styles are designed for everyday wear, and the brand is also committed to using sustainable and ethically sourced materials, including conflict-free diamonds and gemstones.

Before getting deeper into our The Last Line review, let’s go over a few of the top-line pros and cons of the brand.

Pros

  • Jewelry materials, diamonds, and gemstones are all ethically and sustainably sourced
  • Free worldwide shipping

Buying fine jewelry can be an intimidating experience: the aura of exclusivity, not to mention the eye-popping prices, can drive many prospective buyers away. The Last Line Gold Herringbone Chain Necklace Review

We can all use a simple, stackable necklace for our collection, and the Gold Herringbone Chain Necklace does the job perfectly. This chain lays flat on your neck, acting as a solid foundation for The Last Line’s tennis or pendant necklaces—or if you’re after an understated yet elegant look, you can also opt to wear it solo.

The chain is 16 inches long, and comes in widths of either 3mm or 4mm. The Last Line Herringbone necklace sells for $965.

The Last Line Diamond Teardrop Piercing Earring Review

Getting your ears pierced can sometimes make you shed a tear, but with the Diamond Teardrop Piercing Earrings there will only be happy tears to cry. A glittering diamond stud with a 14K yellow gold backing suspends a beautiful tear-shaped white diamond, making for the last word in everyday elegance.

Versatility is the name of the game for these The Last Line teardrops piercing earrings. Aiming for a subtle but enticing bit of sparkle? Wear the studs alone. Going all glam? Stack them with other sparkly hoops and ear cuffs—maybe even a pair of The Last Line safety pin earrings will do the trick.

The Diamond Teardrop Piercing Earrings retail for $1,180

The Last Line Diamond Teddy Flower Ring Review

With its lovely central yellow sapphire surrounded by white diamond “petals,” the charming Diamond Teddy Flower Ring could serve as a staple piece for minimalist types who like to keep things classily understated. But if you do like to stack your rings, the thin 14K yellow gold band will give you enough space so you can keep building up the bling.

The Last Line flower ring comes in two other designs, with a single white diamond serving as the center for either rubies or turquoises. Ranging in sizes from 4-10, this ring will be a beautiful addition to your collection and complements signet rings perfectly.

Here’s what each of the styles will set you back:

  • Diamond Teddy Flower Ring$1,675
  • Ruby Teddy Flower Ring$895
  • Turquoise Teddy Flower Ring$745

The Last Line Diamond Tennis Anklet Review

If you’re looking for a The Last Line tennis bracelet, the brand has plenty for you to choose from—but have you ever thought about what one would look like around your ankle? Well, you can stop wondering—with the Diamond Tennis Anklet, you can get your legs blinged out too!

The Last Line diamond anklet features a 14K yellow gold chain lined with white diamonds, hewing to the classic tennis bracelet look. But if  you want to add some eye-catching dazzle, you can replace the rocks with emeralds, blue sapphires, or rainbow gemstones.

Like all The Last Line pieces, this anklet is perfect for layering, and you can either dress it up with a pair of heels or go cazh-but-classy with some white sneakers. Price points for this lower-leg dazzler are as follows:

  • White Diamond—$3,450
  • Blue Sapphire—$2,050
  • Emerald—$2,050

Who Is The Last Line For?

The Last Line Review

If you’re looking for fine jewelry pieces that will add some color to your accessories, The Last Line can be your new go-to. The brand’s pieces are all designed for the ideal balance of style, glamor, and everyday wear. They’re especially great for those who like to layer and stack their jewelry pieces.

If you’re not big on colorful or ostentatious jewelry, the brand also has several classically designed staples for you to choose from. For example, The Last Line ruby flower ring is an understated piece, but it’s delicately beautiful will still draw plenty of admiring comments.

By selling direct to the consumer, The Last Line seeks to remove the intimidating experience of high-end jewelry shopping, and its designs are creative and contemporary without being tacky. Whether you’re a minimalist or a full-blown jewelry diva, this brand has something that will appeal to you.

Comparison: The Last Line vs. Vrai and Oro

The Last Line Review

This The Last Line review has given you the rundown on the brand, but how do they stack up against the competition? To answer that question, we took a gander at fellow jewelry retailer Vrai and Oro to see what both of these brands have to offer, and which (if either) truly comes out on top.

The Last Line and Vrai and Ora differ in the styles they have to offer. The Vrai and Oro jewelry collection has a decidedly minimalist look to it: its pieces are toned down, and feature smaller stones and minimal gold chains. By contrast, most of The Last Line jewelry pieces have a colorful flair to them, expressing personality while still staying on-trend.

Vrai and Oro is also a bit more affordable compared to The Last Line, but this might be because its pieces don’t use precious or semi-precious stones. But like the lady says, diamonds are a girl’s best friend—and with The Last Line jewelry, you’ll have plenty of best friends. But if you’re not into juggling that many pals and want to keep it simple, Vrai and Oro is an excellent option.

The Last Line Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

The Last Line Review

So right up front, here’s the bad news: we scoured the web for customer reviews to include in this The Last Line review, but there are precious few kicking around out there. The brand website doesn’t include any buyer feedback, and external sites such as Trustpilot and Influenster don’t have the company on their website.

[The Last Line review UPDATE—the company now has exactly one review on Trustpilot, who gives the brand 2/5 stars, which somehow yields an average rating of 3.3/5 stars. Shrug.]

Luckily, there are 28 reviews on the brand’s Facebook page, which produce an average rating of 4.5/5 stars. Some commenters here have enthusiastic things to say about the brand’s collection and customer service, while others are of the opinion that this jewelry is not worth the money. Let’s take a look at the positives first.

I received my order today – Rainbow Pave charm. […] I love it. The order came quickly. I was a little worried about the no refund policy, but I’m so happy with this piece, I wouldn’t hesitate to order again. I was very happy with the color of the stones. Gotta start saving my coins to order again,” one satisfied buyer says.

An even happier customer had all-caps raves about the company’s customer service. “I absolutely LOVE this brand! This company has the highest quality of customer service I have ever experienced! I highly recommend this company to all my friends and my family.”

As mentioned above, some customers had quite contrasting things to say about the quality of both the jewelry and the brand’s customer service. One customer complained that they lost their huggie hoops twice after they fell out of their ears, which frustrated her as similar pieces from other brands had not fallen out.

This The Last Line review will note that the company actually replied to this customer and offered 10% off their next order, while also specifying that this particular style of piece had not been deemed defective.

There was some more mild strife over on a PurseForum thread, where a customer who had been in the brand’s NYC location disputed The Last Line’s claims for removing the high-handedness and intimidation factor from the jewelry-shopping experience.

The store atmosphere was very uppity/not too welcoming and felt fluffy without substance. […] I also just noticed while searching for the studs I got that the prices went up by ~11% within 3 months!” the commenter wrote.

Ultimately, it’s pretty difficult to get any truly rounded picture of the brand from such a small pool of customer reviews. But this The Last Line review will say that the complaints about the brand don’t seem serious enough to raise any real red flags.

Is The Last Line Worth It?

The Last Line Review

If you’re in the market for trendy, cute, simple-but-bold bold jewelry pieces, this The Last Line review thinks the brand is worth a try. The Last Line has a variety of pretty, eye-catching items in its collections that are great for mixing and matching, but are also stylish enough to be worn on their own.

Admittedly, some pieces in the brand’s collection are less affordable, specifically those with diamonds. That said, there are convenient financing options available for those who view jewelry as an investment. The brand also uses sustainably and ethically sourced materials, including its diamonds and gemstones.

With all that, this The Last Line review also has to do its due diligence by saying that it would be wise to proceed cautiously, as the lack of customer reviews on both the brand website and elsewhere means that it’s not possible to factor other customers’ opinions and experiences into your decision.

But, if you have the means, we can say that investing in The Last Line’s creatively designed and aesthetically pleasing jewelry would be a pretty decent use of the designated bling bucks in your budget.
