About The Pets Table

The Pets Table Review

Have you ever ordered from HelloFresh and thought “wow, I could really use something like this for my pets.” I kid you not, HelloFresh has had that exact same thought as well, so it comes as no surprise that The Pets Table answers the question of personalized meals in the pet world.

As part of the trusted and recognizable HelloFresh Group, this brand is all about bringing an affordable variety of human-grade and minimally-processed dog food right to your doorstep. Featuring five thoughtful and curated recipes available across four different plans (fresh, air-dried, mixed, and half of fresh), there’s an option for even the pups with the most sensitive stomachs.

Have I grabbed your (or your pet’s) attention yet? Keep reading to explore all the relevant details about the brand, including their ingredients, recipes, plans, customer reviews, FAQs, and more!

Launched in 2023, The Pets Table has already garnered glowing reviews for their quality service and products. Using their established knowledge of suppliers, logistics, and fair pricing, this brand has been working with vets to create complete and balanced meals for pups on a variety of diets.

The Pets Table’s meals are best described with three words: quality, variety, and affordability. On the quality side of things, their offerings are cooked at lower temperatures to preserve all the yummy and healthy proteins, vitamins, and antioxidants. You simply won’t get the same nutrition profile from kibble, which loses nutrients during the high-heat extrusion process.

This same dedication to quality means that The Pets Table completely caters to a pet’s dietary needs, including all the ingredients needed to support a healthy gut, immune system, and coat.

Variety, in this case, means five carefully curated and developed recipes that sound good enough to eat. While I’ll be highlighting their ingredients later in this article, here are the five absolutely tasty and nutritious products available:

  • Chicken Casserole with Green Beans
  • Beef Stew with Carrots
  • Turkey Casserole with Broccoli
  • Chicken & Sweet Potato
  • Beef & Berries

It’s more than just the names that make these recipes healthy for your dog; the ingredients included are only there because of the supreme amount of nutrition provided. Your pup won’t be seeing or tasting any artificial flavors or added corn, soy, or wheat.

Lastly, The Pets Table’s plans are affordably priced and are either cheaper than other brands on the market or are at the very least competitively priced. This ensures that their products are of high quality but also accessible at the same time.

To determine the right plan for you and your dog and to see how much everything would cost, the brand has a simple quiz that will guide you to the ideal recipe and price. After that, the hardest part is waiting for the food to arrive!

Before we get to the meat (pun intended) of this article, let’s consider the brand’s highlights:

The Quiz

Before The Pets Table provides a plan, they’ll have you take their simple and straightforward quiz to help get to know your pet a little better. This includes their name, age, breed, weight, activity level, and body type.

After that, they calculate your pup’s daily calorie needs, create a subscription plan, and walk you through the benefits of each of their recipes. Coincidentally, that’s exactly what I’ll be doing in the following sections.

It’s worth noting that all of the following listed prices are for a 30-lb dog being fed twice a day and exclude any discounts.

Fresh

The Pets Table Review

Nothing evokes a feeling of crisp springtime healthiness quite like the word fresh, and the fresh offerings from The Pets Table are no different. Though our furry friends might sometimes partake in questionable delicacies (shoes, socks, etc.), they still deserve the freshest and tastiest human-grade pet food.

Gone are the days of preservatives and fillers. Instead, The Pets Table has three tasty and fresh recipes that are delivered frozen right to your door.

For this option, you can choose between Chicken Casserole with Green Beans, Beef Stew with Carrots, and Turkey Casserole with Broccoli. I bet if your pets could read and write they would already be planning out their subscription.

As with all of the plans, costs are calculated based on the individual details of your dog and how often you want the pet food delivered, but you are looking at roughly $2.89 per meal.

Air-Dried

The Pets Table Review

Air-drying pet food, like cooking at a lower temperature, also helps to create a vastly more nutritious and delicious meal.

The Pets Table’s air-dried meals are a cost-effective option that is definitely worth considering, especially since they add two more recipes to the already varied roster. You can choose between two shelf-stable options: Chicken & Sweet Potato and Beef & Berries.

The recipes support a healthy gut and immune system while also promoting a shiny coat and goodvision. All of these benefits are available for around $1.59 per meal.

Mixed

The Pets Table Review

Sometimes you actually can have the best of both worlds. With The Pets Table’s mixed option, your pet can experience the freshness of the fresh recipes while you enjoy the cost-effectiveness and shelf-stability of the air-dried options.

With the ability to choose between all five of the available recipes, it’s no wonder that this is their most popular plan. You’ll receive a 50/50 caloric split between the fresh and air-dried recipes so your pup’s tastebuds will never get bored. The cost of this plan is around $2.57 per meal.

Half of Fresh

The Pets Table Review

Looking to keep it fresh on a budget? Have I got the plan for you. Half of Fresh includes 50% of the standard fresh fare that is meant to be mixed in with the food you’re already feeding your pup.

Chicken Casserole with Green Beans, Beef Stew with Carrots, and Turkey Casserole with Broccoli are all up for grabs with this plan, so your pet will be reaping a host of health benefits including a boosted immune system, a more lustrous coat, and a thriving gut biome.

As another quite cost-effective option, half of fresh is available for roughly $1.90 per meal

How Much Does The Pets Table Cost?

The Pets Table Review

All prices listed on The Pets Table’s website (and in this article) are for a 30-lb dog being fed twice per day. As such, the cost will vary depending on a variety of factors, including your dog’s age, weight, activity level, and feeding habits.

You can easily take the quiz in order to get a better idea of how much each plan would cost.

The Pets Table Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

The Pets Table Review

Every good review needs to touch on customer reception, and this one is no different. In this section, we’ll take a look at what pet owners are saying about the brand. Since The Pets Table hasn’t been around for too long, there are limited sources to draw from, but what I have found paints a very positive and telling picture of them.

Starting off on TrustPilot, The Pets Table has a very respectable score of 4.5/5 stars based on 116 ratings, with 82% of customers rating them as 5/5 stars.

I had to start with the cutest review I’ve come across in some time. Simply titled “Ms Betty loves it ❤️,” it reads: “Ms Betty is a senior Jack Russell Terrier and Beagle mix. She literally runs into the kitchen when it’s time to eat and hops around (she can’t jump anymore) when it’s feeding time.”

Other reviews on TrustPilot echo the positivity and cuteness, including this one: “The Pets Table has turned my almost 14 yo mini schnauzer into a puppy again. She begins staring at me before dinner every day begging for her new food and then gobbles it up so fast.”

Other customers also spoke of how quickly their dogs took to the new food: “Transition from old food went swimmingly. Wesley eats slower and seems to enjoy every bite. I hydrate with some low salt chicken broth and away we go.”

A very small minority of reviews had gripes with the brand, but these mostly centered around the packaging being tough to open. Realistically, though, you probably do want any food to be in as secure packaging as possible while being transported. Good problems?

On the website My Subscription Addiction, The Pets Table has a 5/5-star rating based on seven reviews. While it would have been nice to see more reviews, the words back up the numbers quite favorably.

Pups can be picky eaters, so it’s nice to see how well many have taken to The Pets Table’s recipes. Here’s one review to that effect:

“I was very skeptical of fresh food – my pup has a VERY sensitive stomach and I was nervous about changing her routine. If anything, this has made her stomach issues better, and she absolutely loves the fresh plan, she can’t get enough of the Beef Stew with Carrots!”

All in all, it’s looking pretty phenomenal for this brand. With only minor gripes across the board, it seems that The Pets Table is doing things the right way.

Is The Pets Table Legit?

The Pets Table Review

The verdict is in and it’s tail-waggingly positive! Based on the research and expertise, variety, cost-effectiveness, and reviews, The Pets Table offers a service that takes all the hassle out of picking and transporting pet food while keeping all the fresh nutrients and yumminess packed in every single bite.

It’s safe to say that The Pets Table is very much legit.

Final Thoughts

The Pets Table Review

If you’re in the market for wholesome and nutritious pet food delivered right to you and your furry friend, then The Pets Table is worth looking into.

The research and vet collaborations are extensive, the price is affordable, the recipes are diverse and restaurant worthy, and the convenience is sublime. Humans and dogs alike are ecstatic at what this brand brings to the table (pun very much intended).

With all of that in mind, The Pets Table is so worth it.
