Overview of Vertagear

Vertagear Review

Like most games, the focus is primarily on the playthrough, plot, and the characters themselves. The actual effort and skill required to make top-sellers are often kept under lock and key. Vertagear is no different, as its origin story is quite vague.

Founded by Mike Ma in 2015, this gaming furniture company was brought to life bycomputer hardware veterans, furniture specialists, designers and gamers.” This way, you’ll be as comfortable as possible when you’re gaming, which is more important than you think.

Whether you know it or not, posture has a direct effect on your mood. Most players prefer to hunch over to improve focus when they’re gaming, but it’s quite taxing on your back and shoulder muscles. Trust me, binging your way through the Uncharted series with bad posture will only result in hours of back pain. What you need is a quality gaming chair

Over the years, Vertagear has continued developing high-quality gaming chairs, ranging from the U.S Patented Effortless Assembly & Auto Locks Caster in 2016 to the World First PC Operated Wireless RBG in 2018.

Currently, Vertagear offers a great selection of gaming seats to choose from, each with its own special features to enhance your gaming experience. You can also buy their limited edition designs, such as the PL4500 Crystals from Swarovski if you’re looking to treat yourself.

To keep things short, I will only feature a few of their best-sellers in my Vertagear review to help you get started. But first, let’s go over some initial highlights.

Vertagear Chair Review

If you can afford a $500 PS5, you might as well go all out by buying an accompanying gaming chair. Ideally paired with Mountain Dew, Doritos, and a pair of high-quality headphones, in this section of my Vertagear review, I will discuss a few notable contenders offered by the brand.

Vertagear SL2000 Review

Elden Ring requires a lot of focus and skill. Trust me, you don’t want your rune count to be negatively influenced by bad posture. Case in point, the SL2000 gaming chair offers ergonomic support to help you defeat Radagon, Godfrey, or any plot-important bosses. This bad boy is equipped with PVC and PU faux leather, which is both durable and super smooth to the touch.

Built with slide-in hardware for easy assembly, Penta RS1 casters for movability, and adjustable components to ensure the perfect fit, it’s natural to wonder, “why did I decide to suffer with my flimsy plastic seat for so long?”

As for the price, the SL2000 Vertagear gaming chair currently costs $280 instead of its $350 markup. You can get this chair in one of 12 different colors to match your setup.

Vertagear Triigger 350 Review

I’ve had my fill of frustrations when it comes to progressing through certain games. Bloodborne is one of them. It will take you blood, sweat, and tears to beat specific bosses.

If you want the odds to be in your favor, the Triigger 350 chair may be your one-way ticket to a zero-death sweep. Designed for lengthy gaming periods, this bad boy is constructed with TPEE mesh for breathability, calfskin leather for durability, and adjustable assets to ensure all-around comfort.

In addition, this Vertagear chair is also equipped with a caster silencer and a headrest SC as added benefits. Basically, the latter helps to ensure a noise-free environment while the cushion helps to support your head. Available in black, the Triigger 350 sells for $800

Vertagear SL5000 Review

Contrary to popular belief, even the most ‘relaxing’ games are known the be quite taxing on your body. If you’re keen on playing Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, or Sims for hours on end, the SL5000 gaming chair can help get you into that meditative mood that these games provide.

Offered with the same amount of support as its predecessors, this model features a unique RGB/ LED upgrade kit to really earn some respect from chat.

Designed with contrast stitching, don’t be surprised if your Twitch audience demands that you drop your setup details in the chat. Price-wise, the SL5000 gaming chair is currently on sale for $360 instead of its usual price of $460

Vertagear PL6000 Review

Those who frequently game may find value in the PL6000 chair. Optimized for lengthy sessions, this seat features a wider range of adjustability, slide-in hardware, and a heavy-duty metal base frame to ensure durability.

It’s also worth noting that the back frame reclines, just in case you’re looking to take a breather after defeating a major boss.

Fit with lumbar support and a Penta RS1 caster, you can make the PL6000 the new addition to your setup for just $400, currently $100 off.

Vertagear Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Vertagear Review

It’s a well-known fact that gamers are quite a vocal community. They aren’t afraid to express their opinion, especially when it comes to equipment. Fortunately, I found a lot of positive Vertagear reviews praising their chairs. To kick things off, let’s take a short look at the ratings of some of the brand’s bestsellers, shall we?

  • SL2000: 207 reviews with 4.7/5 stars
  • Triigger 350: 38 reviews with 4.7/5 stars
  • SL5000: 178 reviews with 4.7/5 stars
  • PL6000: 256 reviews with 4.7/5 stars

Praised for their comfort, durability, ease of assembly, and overall product quality, it appears that the Vertagear chairs are an indispensable asset to your gaming experience. Take it from one happy buyer, who left a raving review for one of the brand’s best-selling designs.

“What I expected to receive was a chair that held my mass securely and comfortably. Not only did the PL6000 achieve that, it also provided me with comfort I haven’t felt in a long time,” one customer shared.

As for outside sources, I uncovered some Vertagear reviews on different blog sites that took to review the brand’s chairs. iMore and PCGamer both left fair critiques of the company, as the authors wrote that they provided a decent amount of support and comfort. That said, some features required a well-needed upgrade.

Reviewing the PL4500, PCGamer wrote: “Yes, this chair is very well made. It’s gorgeous to look at and provides lots of back support, too. But that rigid cushioning won’t be for everyone. It certainly wasn’t for me,”

On iMore, they said: “The Vertagear SL5000 Gaming Chair is a high-quality gaming chair that is firmly supportive and offers a host of options for customizability such as a deep recline, height, and tilt adjustment, removable neck and back cushions, and four-way adjustable armrests.”

Despite the amount of hype shared online, I did find a few complaints about comfort level. A few reviewers stated that their seats didn’t provide much support or cushioning needed for long gaming sessions. Others complained about assembly issues and how pricey their chairs were.

Unfortunately, Vertagear also scored low on Trustpilot. Most complaints here were about defective products and poor customer service.

Is Vertagear Legit?

Vertagear Review

While many reviewers loved the company’s chairs and their value, there were some complaints to watch out for as I mentioned. It’s also worth mentioning that Vertagear was in some hot water in 2021, as they reportedly shared a sexist meme on social media. Thankfully, they redacted the post and apologized to their followers.

Despite these flaws, it seems that Vertagear is legit.

Is Vertagear Worth It?

Vertagear Review

If you constantly deal with back pain, sores, and muscle tension, chances are that your chair isn’t equipped with enough lumbar support.

While it may seem agonizing to drop hundreds of dollars on a seemingly ignored product, you’d be surprised to know that posture has a direct impact on your focus and concentration. It’s time to stop taking Ls, and Vertagear is here to help you make the switch.

Given the significant amount of bad Vertagear reviews, I am a bit cautious in recommending this brand to others. That said, it’s hard to ignore the number of success stories online. I can confidently say that Vertagear gaming chairs are definitely a buff, not a squishy.
