About Nearly Natural

Nearly Natural Review

If you consider yourself a plant serial killer, you can finally end your green-thumb tirade with Nearly Natural.

This online company is home to hundreds of artificial flora, ranging from flowers to grasses and succulents. Designed to be water-free and effortless to maintain, you can finally achieve that Pinterest dream without the need for routine TLC.

Given that most craft stores and discount shops sell fake plants, what makes Nearly Natural so special?

For one, their products have been featured in various media outlets including New York Magazine, Forbes, and Insider. It also doesn’t hurt to mention that the brand’s Instagram boasts an impressive 46.8k followers.

Care for a virtual garden tour? If so, you’ve come to the right place. In my Nearly Natural review, I will take a closer look at the brand, its products, customer ratings, promotions, and more to help you decide if they’re worth checking out.

Overview of Nearly Natural

Nearly Natural Review

The story starts with Henry Friedman, a famous horticulturalist who founded Nearly Natural 75 years ago. Formally, the brand started off selling wholesale plants in 1970 but soon realized that there was a demand for artificial plants.

Friedman’s daughter Anita Singer was named the CEO shortly after, and they began producing faux florals for their customers.

Indoor plants do wonders in brightening up a room. But owning one requires a lot of responsibility. Certain species require specific amounts of sun, shade, and water.

If you can’t accomplish that balance of all three, you can practically say goodbye to that $100+ monstera. For people who’ve had enough of spending hundreds of dollars on weepy plants, perhaps it’s time to go artificial.

Although Nearly Natural’s plants are fake, customers can take care knowing that each of its products closely mirrors real flowers and leaves. As the brand says itself, these high-quality look-alikes are meant to last for years to come:

We turn over leaves to check for color accuracy and feel for textures. It’s our mission to provide exceptional products that exceed the expectation of our customers at a price that is fair and reasonable.”

Nearly Natural offers a great selection of fake plants to choose from. Currently, their inventory includes trees, flowers, succulents, grasses, and hedges. It’s also worth noting that customers can shop by season as well.

In my Nearly Natural review, I will spotlight a few notable contenders that you may ‘grow’ to love in your own home. But first, here are some company highlights:

Nearly Natural Plants Review

Those pressed for time may find watering and re-potting a hassle to do. Case in point.

Nearly Natural plants require little to no effort to take care of. In this section of my Nearly Natural review, I will highlight a few select plants that are worth a second glance.

Nearly Natural 5′ Paradise Palm Review

With a tropical aesthetic, the 5’ Paradise Palm can whisk you away to the Bahamas even if you live in upper Manhattan.

This beauty features a series of feathery green leaves set in branching stems. Coming in a black pot, this perennial can help accentuate your workspace or your living room.

In terms of interior design tips, I recommend getting two to help compliment large furniture. Price-wise, the 5’ Paradise Palm retails for $118

Nearly Natural Phalaenopsis w/Glass Vase Silk Flower Arrangement Review

When it comes to indoor flowers, orchids are typically easy to take care of. That said, it still requires a level of responsibility to ensure the blooms stay prim and proper.

If you can’t afford to pay much attention to your plants, the Phalaenopsis w/Glass Vase Silk Flower Arrangement requires no TLC. Available in bright pink and purple, this decorative flower can last through droughts, intense sun, and day-by-day shade.

For those who prefer something a bit more subtle, then you’ll be glad to know that the $97 Phalaenopsis w/Glass Vase Silk Flower Arrangement also comes in white.

Nearly Natural Olive Tree Review

Olive trees come with a whole list of pros and cons. On the one hand, you’re offered an endless supply of fresh food. But on the other hand, it’s nearly impossible to cut, package, and freeze every single harvest.

If you prefer to buy your fruit at your local grocery store then check out this section of my Nearly Natural review.

Nearly Natural 82” Artificial Olive Tree Review

The 82” Artificial Olive Tree exudes the air of the Italian countryside into your humble, suburban home. Towering in height, this beauty is meant for large open spaces.

It features thin leaves, cascading branches, and an airy silhouette to help give off that dreamy quality. Of course, this plant also comes with olives, but the inedible kind (just in case you were getting too excited).

Recommended for minimalists and modern contemporary decorators, the 82” Artificial Olive Tree can be a great addition to your living space for just $136. It’s worth noting that it originally cost $167

Nearly Natural 5′ Olive Silk Tree Review

If you prefer something smaller, the 5’ Olive Silk Tree acts as a more subtle alternative. Slightly shorter, this plant also features feathery green leaves, towering branches, and a series of ripe and unripe inedible olives.

It definitely exudes a cottage-core vibe, which is perfect for those who covet the look of the rural countryside.

While this Nearly Natural olive tree comes at a shorter height, it’s considered a more expensive splurge compared to its previous counterpart. In total, customers should expect to pay $218 for the 5’ Olive Silk Tree.

Who Is Nearly Natural For?

Nearly Natural Review

Nearly Natural is perfect for those who commonly kill house plants. Unintentionally, of course. One of the main benefits of owning faux flora is its low level of responsibility.

Homeowners don’t have to worry about watering or re-potting their greenery, as Nearly Natural uses synthetics to ensure permanence.

That being said, Nearly Natural isn’t the cheapest option when it comes to fake plants. Their smaller pots can retail for over $80, which is typically three times the amount that you’d pay for a real-life shrub. With that in mind, it serves as a permanent alternative to buying the same plant over and over again.

Nearly Natural Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Nearly Natural Review

According to many happy customers, it appears that the grass is really greener on the other side, even though it’s fake. I found hundreds of positive Nearly Natural reviews posted for their best-selling plants, which include notable flora such as:

  • 5’ Paradise Palm: 26 reviews with 4.9/5 stars
  • Phalaenopsis w/Glass Vase Silk Flower Arrangement: 12 reviews with 5/5 stars
  • 82” Artificial Olive Tree: 190 reviews with 5/5 stars
  • 5’ Olive Silk Tree: 41 reviews with 4.9/5 stars

High-quality, gorgeous, and impressively similar to the real thing, customers reported that Nearly Natural plants are definitely worth the splurge.

Buyers are quick to post pictures online, which depict faux olive trees, shrubs, and flowers situated in various areas of the house. Each plant did wonders in complimenting its new living space.

“Love how realistic the trees look – I purchased two of them for my bedroom. The color is a muted green, which I appreciate. Perfect to add a subtle bit of greenery to a neutral color palette. Quality is excellent and love the details of the little seeds throughout [the] tree,” one customer wrote about the 5’ Olive Silk Tree.

Compared to the brand’s official website, Amazon takes the cake in holding the highest number of Nearly Natural reviews. The listing for the 82” Olive Tree is rated 4.1/5 stars based on 2.1k global ratings. 63% of customers gave this plant a full 5-star score.

As one Amazon user wrote: “Absolutely love this tree! It looks great and the height is perfect. It’s 82” and just the right height for our 9’ ceilings. Highly recommend (coming from someone who is very selective when it comes to home decor).”

I also found a few blog sites with their own Nearly Natural reviews to get a deeper understanding of the brand. The Spruce was in favor of the company’s collection of flora, saying they were worth the price tag:

“Visually, this plant is as beautiful and as authentic as the real thing, even up close. While the price tag is a little steep and the pot looks a bit cheap, as a decor item, it is worth the money for something that looks so organic.”

Despite the hype, it’s natural for online brands to face a few problems. While writing my Nearly Natural review, I found a some naysayers online.

The brand had less than stellar ratings on Trustpilot, BBB, and Yelp. But these seem to be unlike ratings elsewhere, where customers love the aesthetic these plants provide their home for years to come.

Is Nearly Natural Legit?

Nearly Natural Review

As I mentioned in the last section, there were a number of complaints I found about the brand about customer service.

Unfortunately, it seems that Nearly Natural has some work to do with their online presence and keeping in touch with their customers. If all goes well, this shouldn’t be an issue when ordering from the brand.

Is Nearly Natural Worth It?

Nearly Natural Review

While I must keep in mind the Nearly Natural reviews online, it’s also important to keep the good in sight as well.

Let’s start with the positives first. It appears that hundreds of buyers are happy with their purchase, as the company’s plants seem to pass the quality control test with flying colors. Realistic and beautifully made, they give fake flora a good name.

It’s possible that you may run into a few problems with customer service. All in all, I recommend starting with a smaller purchase to build up real faith in this artificial plant company.
