Storenvy was founded in 2010 in Chico, California. The brand’s founder Jonathan Crawford envisioned the site as both a marketplace and a virtual storefront for smaller brands from around the world. Two years after its inception, Storenvy had more than 35k brands online.
Their website is optimized for consumers and sellers alike. Brands can sell their wares through Storenvy, and once their products are entered into the site’s marketplace, they will appear in customers’ algorithms and front pages as suggested items.
Buyers can follow select brands or rely on the items that Storenvy recommends them. They can add items to their wishlist, follow select brands and users, and create their own pseudo-mood board by building their own collection.
One aspect of Storenvy’s business plan that I admire is the way they channel their revenue. They put it back into their advertising, which is a no-brainer for many e-commerce sites that exist within the dog-eat-dog online sales world, but their advertising prioritizes user-owned stores. As such, the company uses its funds to drive more people to support smaller stores.

It’s another oversized women’s shirt, but it’s built for warmer weather. It’s thick but not heavy, so it’ll hold its shape without making you feel like you’re carrying extra weight.

Storenvy Mermaid Wool Knitted Blanket Fish Tail Cover Review
This is the first product in my Storenvy review that isn’t an article of clothing, at least not in the traditional sense. Harajuku Fashion again shows its creativity with this knitted blanket that can make you look and feel like a mermaid.

Storenvy Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
Here are a few aggregate Storenvy review scores I found on popular websites to get a better understanding of what customers think about the brand:

While these scores are positive, for the most part, there’s a bit of difficulty in seeing what people really thought about Storenvy. There were plenty of negative Storenvy reviews, but they spoke more about the brands they purchased from rather than Storenvy itself. These criticisms were more directed at the smaller brands on the platform rather than the platform itself.
Could you make the argument that Storenvy should implement stricter measures of quality control? Of course, but that doesn’t deny the fact that there were plenty of people who loved shopping with Storenvy, on the basis that they were buying from reputable shops.
One reviewer on Sitejabber wrote: “Love my Monsters tank top from my favorite podcast Sword & Scale. Pretty fast shipping to Norway too. Happy with my purchase, would shop again!”
Sellers also wrote positive Storenvy reviews for the site’s willingness to resolve any issues. While Storenvy is seemingly legit, I cannot extend that same trust to their stores. The problem is that Storenvy is just a platform and the stores are their own self-governing body. There’s no way to tell how legit a store is besides going off of what other customers said, so be sure to look before you buy.
Is Storenvy Worth It?
I want to conclude my Storenvy review by fully endorsing Storenvy, but it’s hard because you don’t know what you’re getting into when you’re buying from smaller brands from across the world. You may be waiting weeks or months to get your product, and since Storenvy has only so much control, you may not be able to reach out to anyone for further information.
That being said, there are still some great products and brands on there, so I think that Storenvy is at least worth checking out.
