BodyFast Review

About BodyFast

Intermittent fasting has been gaining traction as a diet model over the past decade. Put in the simplest possible terms, intermittent fasting is simply restricting your eating to a set number of hours during the day.

These windows can be as large as eight hours, but it’s not uncommon for some people to only grant themselves a four-hour window.

If you’re new to intermittent fasting, then it can prove difficult to design a plan for yourself. Thankfully, there’s BodyFast, an app that handles all the work for you.

It’s the #1 Health & Fitness app in nearly 50 countries due to the personalized plans it offers, the weekly challenges it gives users, and the litany of scientific literature users can comb through. The German app has been downloaded more than 35m times.

My BodyFast review will break down how the service works, compare the paid and free versions, and cover what customers liked and didn’t like about it. Before I get to that, I’ll tell you about some of BodyFast’s pros and cons.

Why You Should Trust Us

Our mission is to help you make better, more informed purchase decisions.

Our team spends hours researching, consulting with medical experts, gathering insight from expert professionals, reviewing customer feedback, and analyzing products to provide you with the information you need.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Customizable fasting plans: BodyFast offers personalized fasting plans that can be tailored to the user’s lifestyle, health goals, and dietary preferences. This makes it easier for users to stick to their fasting routine and achieve their desired results.
  • User-friendly interface: The app is easy to navigate and has a clean, user-friendly interface. Users can easily track their progress, set reminders, and view their fasting history.
  • Supportive community: BodyFast has an active community of users who share their experiences, provide support, and offer tips and advice. This can be helpful for users who are looking for motivation and encouragement.
  • Educational resources: The app provides educational resources that help users understand the science behind fasting, the benefits of fasting, and how to properly implement fasting into their lifestyle.

Cons

  • Limited features on the free version: While the app is free to download, many of the more advanced features, such as personalized coaching and meal planning, require a paid subscription.
  • No calorie tracking: BodyFast does not offer calorie tracking, which can be a disadvantage for users who are looking to track their calorie intake alongside their fasting routine.
  • Limited food database: The app’s food database is limited, which can make it difficult for users to track their meals accurately.
  • Not suitable for everyone: Fasting may not be suitable for everyone, and users with certain health conditions should consult a healthcare provider before starting any fasting program.

Overall, BodyFast can be a helpful tool for individuals who are interested in intermittent fasting and looking for a structured program to follow. However, users should be aware of the app’s limitations and consult a healthcare provider before starting any fasting program.

BodyFast Review

BodyFast makes it easy for beginners to get the hang of intermittent fasting with a simple setup. The BodyFast app’s features aren’t too cumbersome or adventurous.

Instead, they’re all about fasting and increasing user knowledge about the topic. The bulk of their app is about giving you as much information as possible in the most accessible form.

The app is filled with studies and literature about the effectiveness of fasting. This information is handy because it can help you connect your intentions with your actions in that you can feel good about intermittent fasting for reasons other than losing weight.

Here are some other cool features BodyFast includes:

  1. Different fasting plans
  2. A weight and water tracker
  3. Fasting windows and push notifications on when you can eat
  4. Recipes

How Does BodyFast Work?

BodyFast’s main service is helping you design the best fasting experience for yourself. It can help you identify which fasting plans work best for you. The app has a timer that tells you when you should fast and when you should eat. It can also measure your weight over time to see your progress

The Coached Program has one major leg up over the free plan: it provides customers with a personalized plan from BodyFast’s coaches. BodyFast claims that users who sign up for their coached program lose weight up to 30% more quickly than those that stick with BodyFast’s free programs.

This coached plan uses the information you provide about your diet, lifestyle, current weight, and weight loss goals to formulate a plan for yourself. Of course, you could select from one of the plans BodyFast offers all users, but this service is nice because it determines which plans is best for you.

Some other advantages the Coached Program provides include diet tips and mindset adjustments to help you push through hunger periods.

How Much Does BodyFast Cost?

You can grab nearly all the services listed in this BodyFast review for free

However, the paid version offers tons of advantages for those looking to learn everything they can about intermittent fasting. BodyFast’s Coached Program costs less than $2 a week (which adds up to $70 per year) and includes these features:

  • Individualized plans from a coach
  • Unlimited access to all recipes
  • Over 50 fasting plans
  • Instant help from BodyFast’s team

What Is Intermittent Fasting?

I realize I’ve gotten pretty deep into my BodyFast review without giving a deep definition of intermittent fasting. All my talk about fasting windows may have alienated some readers, and I apologize for that.

As I mentioned earlier, intermittent fasting is a self-imposed eating schedule in which you, simply put, only eat during certain hours of the day. Some people find it easier to stick with versus other diet models like vegan or paleo, or even counting calories because they can eat whatever they want during their intermittent fasting window.

On that note, I can’t continue my BodyFast review without saying the following – intermittent fasting doesn’t ignore calories. If you eat more calories than your body needs, you’ll gain weight, and the reverse is true as well. Some people see success with intermittent fasting because they limit their meals to certain times during the day, leading them to consume fewer calories overall.

However, there are other reasons you may want to consider intermittent fasting like its benefits regarding inflammation and brain function.

Side Effects

The app itself does not have any known side effects, but intermittent fasting may have some potential side effects that users should be aware of. Here are some potential side effects of intermittent fasting:

  1. Hunger and Cravings: Intermittent fasting can cause hunger and cravings, especially during the initial stages of fasting. Some people may also experience headaches, irritability, and difficulty concentrating due to hunger.
  2. Fatigue: During fasting, the body may shift from burning glucose to burning fat for energy. This can lead to fatigue or low energy levels, especially during the initial stages of fasting.
  3. Dehydration: Intermittent fasting may cause dehydration, especially if users are not drinking enough water during their non-fasting periods.
  4. Disordered Eating: For some individuals, intermittent fasting may trigger disordered eating habits, such as binge eating or restrictive eating.

If you experience any of these side effects while using BodyFast or any other fasting app, you should consult your healthcare provider.

Who Is BodyFast For?

If you’ve never tried intermittent fasting and you’ve made it this far into my BodyFast review, it’s safe to assume that you’re at least interested in it. I’d recommend BodyFast for beginners due to its knowledge base and fasting plans. I think regular fasters would like BodyFast too, because of its tracking capabilities.

BodyFast Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Enough of my BodyFast review has come from my brain, so let’s turn our attention to customers and see what they think of the service by looking at the average user scores on various websites.

  • Google Play: 4.7/5 stars based on more than 237,000 pieces of customer feedback
  • iOS App Store: 4.7/5 stars based on more than 95,000 pieces of customer feedback
  • Facebook: 4.6/5 stars based on more than 190 pieces of customer feedback

While I could wax poetic about everything customers mentioned in their BodyFast reviews, one Facebook user summarized the app’s main appeal in a single sentence. “Great App and simple to understand the processes the body undergoes while fasting.

That’s all most customers wanted out of BodyFast, and that’s what they got. BodyFast’s clean user interface, various fasting options, and accurate trackers were enough to hook them in and ease the transition into an intermittent fasting schedule.

Speaking of schedules, other users said BodyFast was great because it helped them integrate fasting into their busy schedules. Here’s what one customer wrote about it in their BodyFast review on the iOS App Store:

When I found this app I tried it for the basic version for a few days and I really liked the features of scheduling out my week and being able to plan ahead. I did decide to do coach and I’m super impressed with the new things that were unlocked! This app has been making it so much easier for me to set my fasts around my work schedule (I work at different times each day, so I wouldn’t be able to eat at the same times each day).

I was surprised to read so many customer testimonials that didn’t talk about weight loss. It seems that most folks tried intermittent fasting for other health benefits.

However, some applauded BodyFast for helping them cut down on their cravings and control their weight. I’ll conclude this section of my BodyFast review with one final customer testimonial that talks about weight loss and how BodyFast is a great tool, but it’s not the end-all-be-all.

Intermittent fasting was admittedly hard to stick to at first, but with enough persistence and getting myself back on track I was able to get my weight down to 130lbs. Intermittent fasting has “reset” my stomach or rather how much food I can intake in one sitting. You should be warned that in order to see real weight loss results, you have to pair intermittent fasting with healthier eating and moderate to light weekly exercise.

BodyFast vs. Reset

Another popular fitness app is Reset, and if you’re wondering whether you should download it or BodyFast, may I suggest you download both?

I’d only do so because the apps are pretty different. BodyFast is just about intermittent fasting, whereas Reset offers comprehensive tips regarding working out, recipes, exercise and weight trackers, and more.

Is BodyFast Legit?

Based on the numerous positive customer reviews and my research, I’m happy to say that BodyFast is legit

Is BodyFast Worth It?

Even if you don’t want to spend a cent on BodyFast, the app still seems very worth it. The trackers, pools of knowledge, and insight into the body are enough to justify its place on your mobile device.

BodyFast Promotions & Discounts

Sadly, I didn’t come across any BodyFast subscription promotions or discounts.
