About Nomatic

Nomatic Luggage Review

There’s a difference between traveling and adventuring, going on vacation and going on a journey, being a tourist and being an explorer; I could go on. You get the picture. It’s not just about going to a cozy place, it’s about testing yourself in a new slice of the world.

Such a task requires the right tools, and those tools require proper storage. A regular suitcase won’t do, you’ll need a Nomatic travel pack.

Nomatic’s sleek suitcases, backpacks, wallets, and more are built for the modern explorer. They’re sturdy, minimalist, and offer tons of storage and organization. They’re also quite pricey, with many asking if Nomatic is worth the price. At least 215k people believe they are as that’s how many people follow Nomatic on Instagram.

My Nomatic luggage review should answer that question for you by giving you the details on their most popular products, what customers think about them, and more. The first things I’ll cover are Nomatic’s pros and cons, which we should get to now.

6 Nomatic Bestsellers

The first section of my Nomatic luggage review will cover the brand’s best-selling suitcases and carry-on bags

Nomatic Carry-On Classic Review

The Nomatic Carry-On Classic is virtually bulletproof. It’s made out of polycarbonate and secures its contents with magnetic compression straps.

Furthermore, it glides effortlessly thanks to its Hinomoto wheels. You can grab it for $400.

Customers say:Travel a lot and this bag can carry everything I need plus more. The magnetic straps are incredible for fitting more clothes or securing other items. Easily identifiable as it looks different than most suitcases.”

Nomatic Carry-On Pro Review

The Nomatic Carry-On Pro builds upon the foundation of the Nomatic Carry-On Classic but with one key improvement. It has a tech compartment that can fit a 16” laptop.

It allows easy access to your laptop during flights if you need to finish work or watch a movie. Unsurprisingly, the Nomatic Carry-On Pro costs more, coming in at $550.

Customers say:This carry-on is pretty much ideal. With the tech pocket and included case it’s a good fit for flying. While a unit without the built-in case would have more internal space, these features are extremely convenient.

Nomatic Check In Review

If you’re looking for a voluminous suitcase, look no further than the Nomatic Check In. It can expand to hold up to 90L without bending or losing structural integrity. This size comes with Nomatic’s tested polycarbonate shell and quiet Hinomoto wheels.

This piece is available for $600.

Customers say:Check-in is spacious, stylish and VERY functional. What more could you expect??”

Nomatic Navigator Carry-On 37L Review

The final piece of luggage I’ll cover is the Nomatic Navigator Carry-On 37L. It boasts a telescopic aluminum handle, can expand from 37L to 44L, and has a front pocket dedicated to protecting your tech items.

Its shell is made from 100% Makrolon polycarbonate for unbeatable protection. This carry-on can be yours for $400.

Customers say:I needed a roll away bag to take on trips, both in the car and the plane and this is just perfect for my needs. Well built. The zippers are sturdy and won’t come apart.

Nomatic Travel Pack Review

The Nomatic Travel Pack can hold 20L any day of the week, but when push comes to shove, it can expand its carrying space up to 30L. It can also switch between a backpack and a briefcase through a simple strap adjustment. Finally, it has more pockets than you have objects to pack, so organization should be a breeze.

You can grab the Nomatic Travel Pack for $300.

Customers say:I could not be happier with this purchase. I would have paid more for this backpack. I can’t wait to get the carry on!

Nomatic Backpack Review

The last item I’ll mention in my Nomatic luggage review is an everyday bag for everyday commutes. The Nomatic Backpack is water-resistant, enforced with RFID-safe storage, has magnetic water bottle pockets, and can expand if you need to carry more.

You can pick it up for $280

Customers say:The best back pack ever and the most comfortable and I cant believe how much the back pack will hold

Nomatic Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Nomatic Luggage Review

Let’s look at what customers think about the brand. Here’s a list of Nomatic reviews and their scores taken from their website:

  • Nomatic Backpack: 4.8/5 stars based on more than 1,800 ratings
  • Nomatic Check In: 4.8/5 stars based on more than 150 ratings
  • Nomatic Carry-On Classic: 4.6/5 stars based on more than 220 ratings

  • Best Buy: 4.9/5 stars based on more than 15 pieces of customer feedback on the Nomatic – Carry-On Classic 22″ Spinning Suitcase
  • Trust Pilot: 4.3/5 stars based on more than 490 pieces of customer feedback
  • Amazon: 4.2/5 stars based on more than 50 pieces of customer feedback on the Nomatic Luggage- Carry-On Classic Luggage

I’ll admit that I was surprised to find so many positive Nomatic luggage reviews considering how expensive the products are.

However, as one user on Trust Pilot points out, Nomatic bags are worth the price. That user wrote, “Nomatic’s product line embodies high quality, purposeful design, rugged reliability and incredible value for your money. You seriously cannot go wrong by choosing to purchase from Nomatic.

The simple yet efficient design of Nomatic backpacks and suitcases was praised by customers. As one shopper explained, “Solid, sturdy, flexible, modular… Not over designed and flimsy like some competitors. Pricey, but a great bag. It may be my last.”

The bags were tough enough to last several trips around the world according to most folks. It wasn’t just their strength that impressed buyers though, as many people praised Nomatic’s organization implementations. One customer on Amazon went as far as to say the following:

I’ve been looking for a sturdy, sleek-looking, functional carry-on bag and this seems to check all those boxes. The sliding handle and wheels feel a lot more sturdy than your average suitcase, and the interior has several well thought out organization components.

In conclusion, the products were seen as firm, reliable, and worth the price, whether they were suitcases, Nomatic wallets, or anything in-between.

Is Nomatic Legit?

Nomatic Luggage Review

Nomatic is a trustworthy luggage producer with a strong reputation among buyers.

Is Nomatic Worth It?

Nomatic Luggage Review

As I mentioned earlier in this Nomatic luggage review, these suitcases are worth it if you travel frequently. They’re not going to be worth much if you travel once in a blue moon since they’re so expensive, but I think they’re worth the investment if you are an airline regular.

Alternatives

If you’re looking for a variety of luggage options beyond Nomatic, consider the following brands:

  1. Rimowa: For travelers looking for luxury luggage that’s both stylish and functional, Rimowa is a great choice. Known for their iconic aluminum suitcases, Rimowa also offers lightweight polycarbonate versions, functional bags, and packing accessories.
  2. Lipault: If fashion is a top priority, Lipault’s suitcases, backpacks, and cross-body bags are as fashion-forward as they are reliable. This Parisian brand creates luggage for the modern fashionista who considers every part of their outfit, with sleek and colorful designs.
  3. Away: Another popular brand among travelers is Away Luggage. Their suitcases feature a durable polycarbonate shell and come in a variety of sizes and colors. They also offer packing cubes and other travel accessories to make packing and organizing easier.

How To Choose The Best Nomatic Luggage

Nomatic Luggage Review

Before bringing my Nomatic luggage review to a close, allow me to give you some questions to ask yourself before shopping:

  1. How often do you travel? The more you travel, the more you should be willing to invest in a good piece of luggage.
  2. How are you traveling? If you’re flying then you’ll want to consider a suitcase or backpack that’s built for air travel.
  3. How much do you usually pack? You’ll have to buy a bigger suitcase if you pack more. Thankfully, many Nomatic suitcases and backpacks can expand to accommodate extra items.
