Overview of Willow Breast Pumps

Willow Breast Pump Review

The baby industry is a lot more innovative than you think. From high-tech strollers to non-toxic, biodegradable diapers, parents can look forward to modernized solutions to help achieve better peace of mind.

That said, breast pumps continue to be overlooked. Bulky, immobile, and inconvenient to use, mothers aren’t provided with any options outside of non-routine breastfeeding—which, in itself, can lead to medical complications.

Co-founders Josh Makower, John Chang, and Naomi Kelman thought that it was time to reinvent the archaic breast pump. In 2014, Willow Innovations, Inc was established in Mountain View, California. Designed to provide mothers with a practical, innovative, and dignified solution, Willow breast pump are a top necessity for parenthood.

Before I jump ahead in this Willow review, I thought it best to go over some initial highlights.

Breastfeeding is a natural bodily function. That said, moms may find their newfound ability to lactate quite strange. Today’s breast pumps don’t help in reducing its bizarro feeling, as there’s something uncanny about waiting for a machine to finish funneling in your milk. Plus, it’s far from convenient, as parents must be able to juggle multiple tasks.

Willow pumps allow moms to move around as they produce milk. It’s a great solution for busy bees who have, limited time. Aside from the brand’s in-house models, they also sell other nifty products such as cases, milk containers, and bags.

For the purposes of this Willow review, I’ll only be focusing on the company’s wearable portable breast pump machines. Let’s get started!

Willow Wearable Breast Pumps Review

From the Willow 3.0™ to the Willow Go™, the brand offers a curated selection of pumps to choose from. To keep things short and concise, I’ll only look at three of their bestselling products in this Willow Breast Pump review.

Willow 3.0  Wearable Breast Pump Review

The Willow 3.0 Wearable Breast Pump is an invention your mom, your grandmother, and even your great-grandmas wish they had.

This twenty-first-century solution provides a modernized alternative to storing mom’s milk, as it’s powered with smart sensors, hospital-grade suction strength, a 5-session long battery, and a handy Flextube to ensure ‘ease of transportation,’ if you know what I mean.

You’ve got 99 mom problems, but With Willow 3.0, breastfeeding isn’t one of them, as it’s portable, gravity-defying, and spill-proof to ensure zero mess. Oh, and did I mention that this device comes with a mobile app? Users can easily track their milk flow online, which is especially useful if you need to convey certain information to your doctor.

Offered with a charger, two cleaning brushes, and a one-year warranty, the Willow 3.0 Wearable Willow Breast Pump costs $500

Willow Go Wearable Breast Pump Review

Pumping on the go is a difficult task. Hauling over a bulky machine with tubes involved can be a headache, especially if you’re stuck on a long road trip or a 12-hour flight. If you’re limited on space and patience, the Willow Go Wearable Breast Pump Go™ Wearable is designed to take some stress away.

Built with adjustable suction, a nifty flange, a 3-session battery, and two modes to ensure a comfortable experience, you can easily tend to other important needs as you lactate.

Like the 3.0, the Willow Go Wearable Breast Pump Go™ Wearable is also compatible with the pump mobile app. Provided with dual container bowls, pump diaphragms, duckbill valves, and USB charging cables, this portable necessity is on sale for $280. It’s worth mentioning that it initially sold for $330

Willow 3.0 Container Set (2-pack) Review

Milk bags are surprisingly expensive. Typically offered in bulk, they’re usually sold at $15 to $20. Considering that breastfeeding is a daily necessity, it certainly adds up.

For those requiring a more affordable solution, the Willow 3.0 Container Set (2-pack) can be your go-to alternative. This device allows users to pump directly into the brand’s reusable milk containers or bags. Designed to cut the need for disposable plastics, it definitely gets the eco-mom stamp of approval.

Built with a spout for easy transfer, the Willow 3.0 Container Set (2-pack) only costs $50. It’s worth mentioning that it’s offered in three different sizes: 21 mm, 24 mm, and 27 mm.
